What is the Carnivore Diet?

Very simply put, carnivore diet is our biologically appropriate, species specific diet that our ancestors have been eating since the dawn of humankind. It optimally done by eating whole food meat and water only, and salting to taste if desired, but not required. You should also focus on fatty cuts of meat, because fat is not only calories it contains many essential nutrients as well. And it does not cause heart disease, diabetes, or any other chronic illness as has previously been suggested.

Furthermore, it is as important what not to eat as what to eat however, and my hard rule is no plants, no sugar or sweeteners of any kind, and nothing artificial. This would apply to anything you eat, including sauces, seasonings, and drinks as well.

After that, you just eat fatty meat until you are full, but as your hunger signals will change dramatically when you stop eating carbohydrates, you need to relearn your hunger signals to make sure that you are eating enough. I find that taste is very good measure of satiety, and so if a steak doesn’t taste good then you are not hungry. However if it does taste good, you are and should keep eating meat until it stops tasting interesting. I aim to have leftovers after each meal to make sure that I’m getting as much as my body wants.

After this, just enjoy your life and your new freedom from being beholden to food and drink as a major part of your day. Most people find they don’t need to eat as much or as often because when you’re eating high density nutrition you don’t need to. This seems to alleviate many chronic illnesses, or at least improve them in many ways. There are many reasons for this, but I think it’s quite clear that the closer you get to your biologically designed nutrition source the better you will be. As you can see at zoos and parks, there are signs saying do not feed the animals the things that you are eating right now because it will make them very sick. When animals eat something they are not designed to eat, this causes illness. This is just as true for us as it is to ducks at the park when you feed us bread. There are many reasons for this, most importantly because plants defend themselves with various chemical deterrence which are designed to cause harm and illness to stop predators from eating them. I think that people do not respect plants nearly enough, and it has cost us our health.
